Herein, I’m trying to express my gratitude and thankfulness to my dear supervisor, Professor Guoping Zhu in the College of Life Sciences, using only simple words to describe my warm and heartfelt appreciations for her. It is an honor for me to be one of her students and to be a member in her scientific team. Prof Zhu is a great scientist and a very kind teacher, her personality is unique and exceptionally precious since she is very helpful in my scientific research as well as in my personal life.
在此，我谨以简朴的文字向皇冠新款入口朱国萍教授表达我诚挚的感激之情。我非常荣幸能够成为朱教授的员工，并成为她科研团队成员之一。她不仅是一位严谨的科学家，更是一位和蔼可亲的老师。她独特的人格魅力和无微不至的关心萦绕在我的科学研究和日常生活之中的每个角落。
As an international student from Egypt in Prof Zhu’s laboratory, I can feel how much care and attention she gives us. She has devoted herself to the science and education. She teaches us how to be real researchers and hard workers. She continuously observes the student track so as to guide him and/or her to the right direction immediately. Based on her instructions, we are well-satisfied to follow both scientific rules and ethical guidelines during our work time, which enhances our eventual outputs. Our laboratory is well equipped, well managed and well organized. Periodical seminars are held in the laboratory weekly, monthly and half-yearly in the end of each semester. Every student can describe the experimental protocols as well as explain the obtained results in the presence of Prof. Zhu, other teachers and other lab-mates, and most slide shows are presented in English, so all members can discuss the practical issues and offer their ideas. It is the actual soul of teamwork that develops our scientific and creative abilities as researchers. Furthermore, high-quality research papers are published every year, due to the helps with each other in the lab. I have been aided by my lab-mates to access the desired experimental tools and chemicals plus running the equipments and learning new techniques. I am really appreciate their collaboration. In my daily work I am always very happy with the friendly and cheerful group of fellow students.
作为一名来自埃及的国际职工，我能深切地感受到朱教授对我们实验室成员的关怀。她将自己投身于科学和教育事业，并致力于教授我们如何成为真正的研究者和刻苦的学习者。通过持续不断的跟进员工专业学习情况，她总是能够及时为我们提供学习反馈并指明正确的研究方向。我们在做研究时内心时刻铭记朱教授为我们树立的科学研究法则和道德规范，这也是保证我们研究成果的质量和数量齐头并进的必不可少因素。我们实验室设备齐全、组织有序、管理有道。每周、每月和每个学期末，我们实验室都会举办阶段性的研讨会。每个员工都有机会当面向朱教授和其它老师汇报实验方案或已取得的研究结果，其他实验室成员也会参与研讨会并就一些实际问题提出自己的观点和看法。值得一提的是，大部分演示文稿都是用英语呈现。培养研究生的科学研究和创新能力是团队合作的核心灵魂所在。此外，在成员的互帮互助下，我们实验室每年都会有高水平的科研论文发表。我在实验室同学的帮助下获取了至关重要的实验工具和化学用品，学会了运行设备并应用相关研究技能。我非常感激团队成员间的合作和对我的无私帮助，能够每天和这这样一群友善向上的同学们一起研究学习是我的莫大荣幸。
During my past two years, I surely received and still enjoying an effective supervision from Prof. Zhu. I can easily discuss my work with her and conclude my significant results competently, with her valuable assistance and long-term expertise. I published my first SCI paper this year. Also, I can publish more good papers in different SCI journals because she taught and showed me the right steps to do that. Many things I really admire here and I hope such improvements can be also established in my home country someday.
在过去的两年中，朱教授的精心高效的指导让我受益匪浅。在她长期的的专业教导下，我能够得心应手的与她讨论我的研究工作和重大研究成果。令人兴奋的是我今年成功发表人生第一篇SCI论文，而且我坚信在朱教授的指导下，我有能力在SCI期刊上发表更多高水平的科研论文。这里的诸多事情让我流连忘返，我希望在未来的某日，我的家乡也能取得如此迅猛发展。
It has been a great pleasure to be accepted as a PhD candidate in Anhui Normal University, “it was like a dream comes true”. All international students, including me, are deeply grateful for such great opportunities to pursue their studies here. Due to the consideration and arrangements carried out by Prof. Zhu, we have been taught various subjects by proficient teachers and gained considerable information about different disciplines. Undeniably, this will strengthen our knowledge and scientific background, in addition to upgrade our career as researchers or maybe as scientists. The consideration and caring provided for us are very supportive for each student. Prof. Zhu has taught me four scientific courses which were interesting and very compliant to my PhD research. These sessions have widened my research from various perspectives. She is continuously seeking to enrich my scientific arena through inviting me to attend various international conferences which are held in our university. So, with such judicious advisement and effective guidance which I receive from Prof. Zhu, I can always improve my performance and make the progress.
能在皇冠新款入口攻读博士学位对我来说可谓是美梦成真般的事情。所有的国际职工，当然包括我在内，都非常珍惜和感激能有机会在这片热土上追寻梦想，探索学术。在朱教授的细致考虑和周到安排下，我们学习了许多优秀教师带来的精品课程，习得了不同学科的大量专业知识。毫无疑问，这些学习经历都会丰富我的知识储备，提升我的科研素养，为我在成为一名科研者甚至是科学家的道路上助力启航。朱教授和老师给予我们的关怀和体贴让每个人都铭记于心。朱教授教我四门非常有趣的科学课程，这些课程与我的博士研究方向紧密相关，而且从不同方面丰富了我的研究内容。她经常邀请我参加在皇冠新款入口举行的各种国际会议，以拓宽我的科学研究领域。我自身科研素养和专业学习成绩的不断提升离不开朱教授的精心指导。
Besides the acquired scientific skills and the learning benefits, we also receive a special concern for our personal life and social habits. When I first arrived in China, she afforded to pick me up from airport, welcomed me, and introduced me to her students and some other teachers, and some of them become my close friends now. Moreover, Prof. Zhu has helped many international students who are affiliated to other laboratories in the College of Life Sciences. As a student from a developing country, I find another side of her personality is fresh, lovely, energized as well as interesting. Additionally, I came here with my husband and two children. If Prof. Zhu was not such a nice, kind and understanding person, this situation would have imposed more pressure and difficulties on my life and work. Even though she is very busy, she took some of her time for helping me and my family to settle down and get all what we needed to establish our accommodation. With her reliable recommendation, I could send my son to a high-quality kindergarten. Also, one of her students helped me to find a good primary school for my daughter. All the time, she does her best to make my children comfortable and happy, which allows me to focus and accomplish my research. I’m sincerely thankful for her continuous support in everything. She has taught me more than I could ever give her enough credit, she has shown me, by her example, what a good scientist should be. Also, Prof. Zhu constantly encourages her students to practice and carry out different kinds of sports and social activities, that is why so many high-quality sets of exercise tools are available in our laboratory. In a few words, Prof. Zhu is a teacher, supervisor and a mentor who is capable to provide her students with both immense knowledge and love.
在皇冠新款入口，除了获取科研技能和专业知识外，我们的个人生活与社会习惯也受到特别关怀。初到中国时，机场接机处的朱教授让我热泪盈眶，我深刻的感受到来自她的关怀和诚挚的欢迎。她热情的把我介绍给她的员工和其他老师，这些人在日后的相处中也成为我的挚友。此外，朱教授还帮助了许多隶属于皇冠新款入口其他实验室的国际员工。在深入相处后，我发现了她的性格中鲜活、可爱、充满活力，而且很有趣的另一面。值得一提的是，我并非独自前来求学，我的丈夫和两个孩子伴随着我来到美丽的皇冠新款入口。若非朱教授的善解人意和精心指导，这种情况会给我的生活和工作带来诸多的压力和困难。尽管她平时忙于处理各项事务，她还是无微不至的安顿我和我的家人，置办生活用品，让我们感受到家的温暖。在她的倾情推荐下，我的儿子进入到一所高质量的幼儿园学习。同时，她的一个员工为我的女儿寻得一所口碑颇好的小学。一直以来，她都竭尽全力让我的孩子们在一个舒适和快乐的环境中生长，这让我能够集中精力完成我的研究。言语无法表达我对于朱教授的关心和体贴的感激之情。她博学多闻，才富学高，以亲身的事迹向我展示了一个好的科学家应具备的品质与美德。此外，朱教授不断鼓励她的员工进行各项体育锻炼并积极参与社会实践活动。为此，我们实验室配备了大量专业运动设备。简而言之，朱教授是一位能够为员工提供无穷的知识和爱的优秀老师与导师。
Lastly, I would like to invite my friends, colleagues and other researchers to apply here and get the whole benefits which definitely will reinforce their knowledge, professional skills and social life. Also, after I finish my PhD, I will be eager to come back to Anhui Normal University and continue my Postdoctoral study in the laboratory of Prof. Guoping Zhu to join her team again and achieve more creative and collaborative work.
